iFire Technology has patented a developmental flat panel display technology that has the potential to revolutionize the television industry. iFire’s proprietary thick dielectric electroluminescent (TDEL) technology is a low-cost, high performance alternative to both liquid crystal display (LCD) and plasma display panel (PDP). TDEL has a potential manufacturing cost advantage due to the simpler structure and fewer, less complex processing steps compared to LCD and PDP.
From its modest beginnings as a research project in 1991, iFire now holds numerous patents and patent applications worldwide related to its proprietary TDEL technology, processes and materials.
iFire has completed working prototypes of specialy light sources, small graphic displays, segmented displays, and both 17-inch standard definition and 34-inch HD TV monitors. iFire's proprietary combination of screen-printed thick-film processes and high performance thin-film phosphors may provide competitive advantages in a variety of applications.

NUCRYST Pharmaceuticals is on the forefront of nanotechnology, the science of building and manipulating at a nanometer scale (one-billionth of a meter). NUCRYST researches, develops and commercializes innovative medical products that fight infection and inflammation using its patented atomically disordered nanocrystalline silver technology.
NUCRYST manufactures and develops advanced wound care dressings for Smith & Nephew, a world leader in advanced wound management. Smith & Nephew’s Acticoat™ dressings are coated with NUCRYST’s proprietary SILCRYST™ nanocrystals and are used for the treatment of burns and chronic wounds. The dressings are marketed, sold and distributed globally by Smith & Nephew under its Acticoat™ brand.
Based on the demonstrated properties of its nanotechnology, NUCRYST is also developing innovative pharmaceutical products to address medical conditions that are characterized by both infection and inflammation. NUCRYST has developed its nanocrystalline silver in a powder form for use as an active pharmaceutical ingredient known as NPI 32101. The company is currently exploring new product opportunities in dermatology and gastroenterology.
