iFire Technology has patented a developmental flat panel display technology called thick dielectric electroluminescent (TDEL) technology that has low-cost and high-performance potential.

iFire's proprietary flat panel display technology has the potential to be applied to several markets including consumer television, small graphic displays, commercial signage and specialty lighting.  Compared to other flat panel technologies, iFire's TDEL technology may have cost and performance advantages due to the technology's simple structure, thin and light package, and low complexity driving circuits.

iFire's TDEL technology is relatively simple, giving it prospective advantages over liquid crystal display (LCD) and plasma display panels (PDP) in performance, packaging and price.

TDEL technology has the potential to produce thin and light displays with native high-definition resolution and excellent performance characteristics including CRT-quality colour saturation and image, fast video response times and a wide viewing angle.

TDEL's solid state form has fewer manufacturing steps and requires a less stringent cleanroom environment resulting in lower projected capital costs for manufacturing facilities. Displays with iFire's TDEL technology may also have potential manufacturing cost advantages over existing high-definition (HDTV) flat panel technologies.
