The Westaim Corporation announces Nasdaq listing

CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA - The Westaim Corporation announced today that its common shares will begin trading on Nasdaq effective Wednesday, April 19, 2000 under the trading symbol WEDX. Its shares will continue to be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol WED.

“Listing on Nasdaq is a response to strong interest from U.S. investors in recent months and the encouragement we have received from many of our U.S. investors to list on the exchange known globally for technology companies,” said Kevin Jenkins, President and CEO of The Westaim Corporation.
