Savvion BusinessManager Now Available for Use in HP, IBM UNIX Environments

SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A. -  SavvionTM, a global provider of innovative automated business management solutions, today announced that its e-business management platform, Savvion BusinessManagerTM, now supports HP-UX, IBM AIX, and related Java Developer Kits. Customers can now implement BusinessManager on a wider variety of leading enterprise servers and across mixed hardware environments.

The Westaim Corporation holds a 22 per cent equity interest in Savvion, formerly Technology Deployment International.

Savvion BusinessManager is the power behind “managed e-business.” The pure Java and XML platform lets companies quickly transform any business operation – from project management to order processing to supply-chain management – into an automated Web application. BusinessManager automates critical business tasks, streamlining processes internally and across extended enterprises. Customers then oversee and control these automated processes from any browser-based device—including handheld Palm computers and WAP-enabled cell phones.

Savvion BusinessManager now supports HP-UX, AIX, Sun Solaris, and Windows NT. This extended operating system support lets customers implement BusinessManager solutions on a broader variety of hardware and software platforms providing greater flexibility and choice.

“Today’s extended enterprises must communicate efficiently with geographically dispersed customers, partners, suppliers, and employees. Savvion solves this problem by easily automating business operations in online environments, providing companies with the immediate benefits of Internet technologies: lower costs, improved productivity, and higher revenues,” said Dr. Ketabchi, Savvion founder and CEO. “With the addition of HP-UX and AIX support, Savvion can better serve extended enterprises by giving them the flexibility to implement managed e-business on UNIX servers and in mixed hardware environments.”

Savvion also announced today that it has joined Hewlett-Packard’s Computing Solution Provider Program, enabling it to leverage HP’s education, training, technical, sales, and marketing services to deliver enhanced customer solutions. As part of the partner program, Savvion BusinessManager is being showcased in HP’s Global Solutions Catalog.

“Savvion will continue to enhance BusinessManager’s e-business capabilities to allow extended enterprises to fully leverage the benefits of Web technologies,” Ketabchi added. “We are committed 100 percent to streamlining enterprise interactions to provide companies with revolutionary operational efficiencies.”
