Savvion awarded enterprise-wide license after a rigorous nine-month evaluation process
SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A. - SavvionTM, Inc., a provider of business process management solutions, today announced that Cisco Systems has licensed Savvion BusinessManagerTM for work flow and business process management projects.
The Westaim Corporation holds a minority position in Savvion.
Savvion BusinessManager is a powerful business process management platform that streamlines operations within and across extended enterprises. Through advanced XML messaging, BusinessManager quickly builds Web-based systems to automate business processes across disparate corporate systems used by employees, customers, partners, and suppliers. These systems can help companies raise productivity, lower costs, and increase revenues.
Cisco will be using BusinessManager Web-based applications to automate and streamline a number of different internal and external business processes, including repair implementation, marketing publishing processes, and service order submit processes. Two of the pilots are now in production, with the others due to go into production over the coming months.
“Passing Cisco’s test was no small achievement,” said Dr. Setrag Khoshafian, Senior Vice President of Technology at Savvion, Inc. “To pass Cisco’s trial, our professional services team quickly created proof-of-concept pilots that could withstand an intense, mission-critical environment. As an established player, we believe we are able to ensure the reliability and scalability of our applications, unlike many newcomers to the field.”
“We are pleased that Cisco chose our platform to further automate its business processes,” added Dr. Ketabchi, Savvion founder and CEO. “Cisco is recognized for embracing Internet technologies to enhance their business operations, and we are proud that Savvion BusinessManager is now one of those technologies.”
